Bought this a couple of weeks ago. There was no problem connecting with the Zwift app. I do walk rather than run and I find that the in game speed is generally about 0.5 MPH slower than what the treadmill shows.
My setup is a bit unique. When out on the road, I run with my Stryd foopod paired with my Suunto watch. However, Stryd doesn't support pairing to two devices simultaneously, so I purchased the Zwift RunPod to pair with my phone when on running on Zwift. Thus, I have a Stryd on my right foot, and Zwift on my left when on the treadmill.
I also now have three distance displays: Stryd on my watch, Zwift on my phone, and the treadmill display. Despite calibration, the Zwift RunPod remains 8-10% behind the treadmill, while Stryd is usually about 3-5% behind. I know getting cadence and distance with footpods and treadmills is notoriously difficult, but despite a few attempts at calibration, the Zwift RunPod is the least accurate.
Thankfully, I'm only on the treadmill when there is inclement weather, which is rare. Further, I'm only losing maybe 3/4 of a mile by the end of the run, which I can live with. However, I don't know if the treadmill is inaccurate or Zwift, or some combination of the two. Regardless, if I calibrate the footpod to the Zwift app, I would expect it to be more accurate than it is.
It doesn't say you have to remove the battery after each use, but I find if I don't the battery is dead, even after 3 or 4 days. The runpod is on my gym shoes, and those sit in my backpack on a shelf, so they aren't moving anywhere and there is no Bluetooth connection showing up on my phone.
Lightweight and responsive. Easy to sync. Accurate
Worked great for a few runs I changed nothing on the PC. New new settings and no new apps installed. Reinstalled Zwift. No luck. Other Bluetooth devices, such as my HR strap and trainer work fine.
I swapped a couple batteries. Still nothing. The light blinks green on impacts but it appears to not be transmitting. Also my Garmin watch can not find it.
I regret my purchases.
