Love it
It works great and is a must have for anyone using a tablet, phone, etc. on the Zwift Ride. My wish is that it came with the bike as it is really a necessary component. I get some may not use it and it costs money to make but I think it could be a much smaller "add on" instead of $50. But I love it and can't imagine not having it now that I've started using it. Seemless integration with the bike.
Works very good as long as you don't plan to remove your tablet often. If you do, don't expect it to last that long. Mine failed in under 60 days. Also, without a tablet in place, the strap just falls to the ground. Quite annoying.
Created a new strap and printed it in TPU. So far it's working much better.
Hi Kye,
We're sorry to hear your Ride Tablet Holder didn't meet your expectations for durability. This is not the typical experience we want our riders to have with our products. While we're glad you found a creative solution, we'd like to make this right. Our Community Support team would be happy to help with a warranty replacement since your holder failed within 60 days so I will reach out to you via email
Ride on.
Reasonable price. Easy to install. Works nicely with largest I-pad
This works well in holding an iPad. However there are two small issues, which is why I give only 4 stars. The first applies only to the new M4 iPad Pro, that has the front facing selfie camera on top of the landscape orientation. If you center the iPad Pro on the iPad holder, the strap that attaches to the top covers the camera, and I got a notification that said my face was too close to the display during a ride which blocked my further use of the iPad! Zwift, if you are reading this, can you put a notch in the center of the claw that holds the top of the iPad, and make the strap longer? The workarounds are: mount the iPad a little off-center, or stretch the strap a little off center. That limited the stability. Another solution is to get a basic case for the iPad, which offers protection and means the top attachment is not blocking the camera.
The second small issue, which impacts all iPads, is the depth of the holder that cradles the bottom of the iPad. This makes it challenging to swipe up from the very bottom center of the iPad screen, a move that we often make to go back to iPad home screen. The iPad case I mention below helps, as the iPad with the case does not sit as deep in the holder and can get a finger in there more easily. I'm surprised that Zwift did not anticipate these issues, did they play test these before releasing? These issues were immediately obvious to me on my first ride with it.
Here is a case that works for my M4 iPad Pro 11…
